Two wins at the Rock
The next rounds were at Rockingham in Northants, its a great track and one I feel quite quick at, with no chance to test before the qually session it was gonna be down to focus…. After 5 laps a car dropped oil in the flat out turn 1 and destroyed the chance of any faster laps, however on lap three I had set a pole time which was over a second faster than P2, so my first pole of 2009, in our non aero car!!!
Race 1: Great start from pole and led the race finishing with over 9 seconds in hand over P2. Not really much else to say pole then won race 1, no challengers after the first corner and a great car.
Race 2: Pole position (P1) again and another solid drive producing a great double victory, happy days, unbeaten at the rock.
